QAU Alumni Association offers need based scholarships

Quaid-i-Azam University Alumni Association Pakistan offers more need based scholarships for the students of Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad. These offered scholarships would additional to already announced five scholarships which are being availed by the present students of QAU Islamabad belonging to remote/hard areas of Pakistan in the fields of social and natural sciences.

Mr. Murtaza Noor Secretary General QAU Alumni Association informed that these scholarships would be offered in the disciplines of business education, international relations and economics. The scholarships have been donated by one of the renowned educationalist and alumni, Dr Abdul Basit. These scholarships would be formally announced on ceremony scheduled to be held on Friday 6th August 2010 at Islamabad Club Islamabad which would be attended by the graduates of Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad who are well placed in different international and national public and private sector organizations.

Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad and Quaid-i-Azam University Alumni Association have already signed MOU t to extend cooperation for the benefit of the present and old students of Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad. Through this MOU it was decided that QAU Alumni Association would offer certain Need Based Scholarships to the students of QAU. QAU would establish a separate head for these offered scholarships as on the pattern on Dr. Razi-u-din Siddiqui Scholarship Programme. Any student who gets education at QAU from remote/hard areas of Pakistan would be financially supported by QAU Alumni Association.

QAU Alumni Association would also assist the students of QAU in career counseling and job placement. Both the organizations would stay in touch with another to undertake different welfare programme for the benefit of present and former students of QAU Islamabad.
