Prof. Dr. Zafar Nawaz Jaspal, Vice Chancellor, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, distributed certificates and cash prizes among the winners of the National Painting Competition titled “Canvas of National Cohesion”, organized as part of the “Marka-e-Haq” celebrations.

The competition provided a platform for students to creatively express themes of national unity, patriotism, and social harmony through art. Students from various departments participated enthusiastically, showcasing their artistic talent and vision.

The winners of the competition were:
First Position: Mr. Anwar Jogezai, School of Economics

Second Position: Ms. Hafsa Imran, National Institute of Pakistan Studies (NIPS)

Third Position: Ms. Sajjal Khan, Department of English, and Ms. Javeria Nazir, Department of Defence and Strategic Studies (DSS)

Speaking on the occasion, the Vice Chancellor, congratulated the winners and appreciated their creative contributions. He highlighted the importance of art in promoting national cohesion, cultural understanding, and constructive engagement among youth. He also lauded the efforts of the organizers for successfully arranging the competition.

Dr. Salma Malik, Director External Linkages, and Dr. Aroosa Kanwal, Chairperson, Department of English, attended the ceremony and appreciated the participants for their remarkable artistic expressions.
