QAU Student Shines

Syeda Farwa Naqvi, a PhD student of the Department of Zoology, Quaid-i-Azam University, who is currently carrying out advanced research at The University of Manchester under the Commonwealth Split-site PhD program, was awarded the President’s Prize at the Society for Research into Hydrocephalus and Spina Bifida’s (SRHSB) 64th Annual meeting (Nov 2020) for her research work on cerebral folate status in Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. Her research is looking at the role of cerebrospinal
fluid in these serious conditions based on the previous work of the UK lab that found this critical in the brain condition of hydrocephalus.
