QAU, MGCL sign Memorandum of Agreement

A Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) was signed between Mari Gas Company Limited (MGCL) and Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) Islamabad in a ceremony. Prof. Dr Masoom Yasinzai, Vice Chancellor Quaid-i-Azam University and Lieutenant General Raza Muhammad Khan (Retd), Managing Director and CEO, Mari Gas Company signed the MoA, to establish MGCL chair in the Department of Earth Sciences at the QAU. A team of QAU headed by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Masoom Yasin Zai included the following members:

The MoA will not only help bridge the gap between the academia and the industry but also acquaint the students of QAU with ground realities and challenges of the petroleum exploration and production, and provide them an opportunity to build their core strengths as per the requirements of petroleum industry in the field of geophysics.

Managing Director and CEO of MGCL who is also the chairman of Pakistan Petroleum and Production Company Association (PPEPCA) has been very instrumental in the establishment of Chair and also to support the genuine need of the Department of Earth Sciences.

QAU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Masoom Yasinzai applauded the efforts of MD and said that QAU will do every effort to produce fruitful outcome from the establishment of Chair, cater the needs of students, faculty, and industry.
