QAU Signs MoU with Digital Development Lab for to Launch Youth-Led Mural Initiative

Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU), Islamabad, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Digital Development Lab (DDL), in collaboration with the Shaoor Foundation for Education & Awareness (SFEA), to implement a youth-led mural activity under the Voices of Inclusion Youth Mural Initiative 2026, supported through the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives.

The collaboration aims to create a youth-led public mural at Quaid-i-Azam University that promotes inclusion, climate awareness, cultural diversity, social harmony, Pakistan–Canada friendship, and community storytelling through public art.

The mural will be developed as part of the broader Voices of Inclusion initiative, which engages young artists, students, and community members in creative expression centered on inclusion, diversity, climate responsibility, and civic dialogue.

Under the partnership, both organizations will explore opportunities for QAU students to actively participate in the initiative through theme discussion and reflection sessions, interaction with mural trainers, mentors, and artists, as well as documentation and storytelling activities. The mural concept will be based on youth-generated ideas developed during the Voices of Inclusion Youth Mural Lab.

The MoU was signed by Dr. Imran Sabir, Associate Professor, Department of Sociology, Quaid-i-Azam University, and Syed Kashif Ahmed, Founder of Digital Development Lab (DDL). Dr. Salma Malik, Director, External Linkages, Quaid-i-Azam University, also attended the signing ceremony.
