QAU Public Administration Students Observe Federal Budget Proceedings at National Assembly

Students of the BS Public Administration programme at the Quaid-i-Azam School of Management Sciences (QASMS), Quaid-i-Azam University, visited the National Assembly of Pakistan as part of an academic learning initiative aimed at providing practical exposure to the country’s legislative and policymaking processes.

The visit offered students a unique opportunity to observe parliamentary proceedings during the debate on the Federal Budget 2026–27 and gain firsthand insight into how national issues are discussed and deliberated within the highest representative institution of the state.

During the budget session, Members of the National Assembly (MNAs) engaged in discussions on a range of important national matters. The experience enabled students to better understand Pakistan’s legislative framework, parliamentary culture, and the dynamics of democratic governance.

The educational tour enhanced students’ knowledge of public policy formulation, democratic decision-making, and the practical functioning of representative institutions. Participants described the visit as an enriching and memorable learning experience that bridged classroom learning with real-world governance practices.

The visit was organized by Dr. Ayesha Javed and led by Dr. Muhammad Junaid, Dr. Mahnoor Farooq, Mr. Aqeel, and Dr. Usman.
