Delegation from Coventry University, UK and British Council Visits QAU

A delegation comprising Deputy Vice Chancellor, Coventry University, UK, Professor Richard Dashwood and two senior faculty members along with representatives of British Council visited Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) to explore the opportunities for co-funded/split-side PhD programmes for prospective students from Pakistan.

The visit of the delegation was the part of implementation phase of the document of Understanding (DoU) signed between the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC) and Coventry University. Under this DoU, PhD scholarships will be awarded to the Pakistani students wishing to enroll at the Coventry University. The meeting was focused on scoping collaboration possibilities for different areas in research. Dr. Muhammad Shahab, Dean Faculty of Biological Sciences, QAU welcomed the delegation and chaired the meeting. Dr. Amin Badshah, Dean Faculty of Natural Sciences, Dr. Muhammad Ishtiaq Ali, Director Academics, QAU, Dr. Shafiq-ur-Rehman, Registrar, QAU, Chairpersons of the Departments and senior faculty members attended the meeting.
