STEM Teachers Capacity Building Workshop for ICT College Teachers

Five Days “STEM Teachers Capacity Building Workshop”, arranged by Quaidi-I-Azam University Islamabad for the teachers of affiliated Federal Colleges was concluding on Friday 20, 2022. This STEM Teachers Training Programme for ICT colleges Teachers was organized in collaboration with the British Council Pakistan. The chief Guest, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali (T.I) Vice Chancellor Quaid-I-Azam University, He emphasized that trained, motivated and inspired teachers are immensely important for quality education and future of the nation and the globe. The Vice Chancellor outlined that good teaching demands the teachers to develop good communication skills, good listening skills, adaptability, understanding of students. Good teachers must be inspiration and motivation for their students. Teachers should have the quality to engage students in the class and connect his/her students in the real-world. They must be loving, caring and to lead their students in the best possible manner.

Ms. Sarah Parvez- Head Higher Education and Skills appreciated QAU’s efforts and urged women STEM teachers to improve their skills in STEM fields and inspire young girls to pure career in STEM. She emphasized that we should get out of the comfort zones must challenge gender barriers and stereotypes. Taswar Hayat- (H.I, T.I, S.I)  was also present on the occasion.

Dr. Hazir Ullah-Principal Investigator of the Project-tanked all the team members-Dr. Tanveer A. Tabish from Oxford, Prof. Dr. Zia ur Rehaman, Prof. Dr. Muazzam, Dr. Naima, Dr. Ahusn Khan-Middlesex university, Prof. Dr. M. Tahir Khalily, Dr. Afsan, Dr. Bushra and Dr. Naima. He also appreciated the contribution of MS. Faiq Fatima and Zarafasha-M. Phil Scholar Sociology.
