Chinese Delegation Explores Green Smart Mobility Collaboration with Quaid-i-Azam University

A delegation from Shandong Xinxu Group, China, visited Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU), Islamabad, to discuss a proposal for launching a Green and Smart Shared Electric Mobility Pilot Scheme on the university campus.

The proposed initiative aims to address transportation challenges within the university, including long walking distances, fixed shuttle schedules, and the high cost of fuel-based transport. The shared electric mobility system is designed to provide a flexible, affordable, traceable, and environmentally friendly solution for frequent short-distance travel across the campus.

Prof. Dr. Zafar Nawaz Jaspal, Vice Chancellor, Quaid-i-Azam University, along with senior university officials, welcomed the Chinese delegation and held detailed discussions on the prospects of collaboration. Both sides exchanged views on the technical, operational, and sustainability aspects of the proposed pilot project.

The meeting concluded with the decision to constitute a technical committee from Quaid-i-Azam University to work with the delegation in finalizing the technical and operational modalities before the implementation of the pilot phase at the university.
