Third Annual International Innovation Summit on Microelectronics & Artificial Intelligence Concludes
The Department of Electronics, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, in collaboration with the Institute of Research Policy (IRP) Lahore, recently organized a remarkable two-day online event “Third Annual International Innovation Summit on Microelectronics and Artificial Intelligence”. The summit was dedicated to exploring the themes of Ethics, Regulations, and Economic Opportunities in the realm of Artificial Intelligence.
Prof. Dr. Niaz Ahmad Akhtar, Vice Chancellor, Quaid-i-Azam University attended the Summit as Chief Guest. In his inaugural speech, the Vice Chancellor emphasized the critical role of microelectronics and its allied fields in shaping the future growth trajectory of the University. Over the course of two days, a total of 9 sessions were conducted, centered around the intersection of Microelectronics and Artificial Intelligence.
This summit resulted from collaborative efforts with 9 distinct institutions, involvement from 10 international microelectronics companies, and contributions from an array of 39 esteemed speakers from 3 different countries.
Throughout the summit, a diverse range of topics were thoughtfully explored including, The Scope and Marketing of Artificial Intelligence, Implications for Defense and Security, Fostering the Microelectronics Ecosystem and Unveiling Economic Prospects in Pakistan, A Workshop on Advanced IC Techniques by IEEE EMBS/SSCS/CAS Chongqing Chapter (CHINA), Harnessing Microelectronics & Artificial Intelligence Synergies, The Role of CMOS IC in IoT and AI Applications, Enabling Artificial Intelligence for Cyber security, The Convergence of Microelectronics with Life Sciences, The Interplay of Microelectronics and Artificial Intelligence.
The summit not only fostered insightful discussions but also paved the way for collaborative opportunities and advancements in microelectronics and artificial intelligence.
