The Department of Anthropology, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad hosted an awareness session conducted by the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA). The activity was organized as part of NADRA’s week-long campaign celebrating the International Identity Day, observed globally on 16th September each year. The NADRA team, comprising Mr. Syed Ali Sheraz (Deputy Director), Ms. Farah Ghaffar (Assistant Director), Ms. Tayaba Nasreen (Deputy Assistant Director) and Ms. Nisa Jabbir (Assistant to Deputy Director), provided a detailed demonstration of the PAK IDENTITY mobile application, highlighting its features and services and addressed students’ queries . Dr. Saadia Abid in her concluding remarks reiterated legal identity as fundamental human right required to ensure inclusivity, recognition as member of society and access to basic human rights. The session was coordinated by Dr. Sajjad Haider while Student volunteers and members of Anthroclub assisted in organizing the event. The event witnessed active participation by students across various semesters.
