QAU Celebrates Jashn-e-Nowruz

The Department of History and Taxila Institute of Asian Civilizations Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) in Collaboration with Cultural Consulate of Islamic Republic of Iran organized Jashn-e-Nowruz at QAU. The Objective of the event was to celebrate and promote cultural ties between the regional countries. The event was jointly inaugurated by QAU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Etzaz Ahmed, Cultural Council of Iran, Taqi Sadeghi, and Afghanistan Ambassador in Pakistan.

In the event a number of stalls were established and decorated by QAU students, teams from the Cultural Consulate of Iran and Embassy of Afghanistan to display their culture through traditional dresses, food, music and literature.

While addressing the inaugural ceremony QAU Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Etzaz Ahmed and Chairperson Department of History Dr. Razia Sultana welcomed the delegates and highlighted the importance and history of celebrating the event at University.
