The Department of Microbiology, ORIC QAU, in collaboration with the Youth Empowerment Program and HHRD Pakistan, hosted an impactful one-day seminar on “Integrated Solid Waste Management for a Greener Future.”

The speakers, Prof Dr. Sohail Yousaf, Pror. Dr. Asif Jamal, Prof Dr. Malik Badshah, Prof Dr. Rani Faryal, Mr. Amjad, and Mr Ahmad shed light on critical issues linking waste management to climate change, biosafety , and sustainable strategies.
Prof Dr. Muhammad Ishtiaq Ali, Chairman of the Microbiology Department and Director of ORIC, extended a sincere vote of thanks to all speakers, guests, faculty, students, and staff for making the seminar a success. He particularly commended the exceptional efforts of the QAM student cabinet. He expressed special gratitude to HHRD and the Youth Empowerment Program for their generous donation of waste bins and bags, and emphasized his strong desire for continued future cooperation to advance this crucial mission
