Hostel for Female Students Inaugurates
The newly constructed building of “Hostel for Female Students” was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Masoom Yasinzai, Vice-Chancellor Quaid-i-Azam University. The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Faculty members, Principal Officers and staff of the University.
The Project Director Engineer Bakht Rahman briefed the guests about the Project. The double storied frame structure building has been completed in record time of 6-months only. The Building has 32- three seater and 1- four seater rooms which will accommodate 100 female students. Beside state of the art wash rooms, one hall is allocated for common room/TV room. Computer table, Wardrobe has been provided for each student. The total covered area of 10900 Sft has been completed at a total cost of Rs.18.85 Million.
The Lady Provost Prof. Dr. Bushra Mirza highlighted the dire need of hostel accommodation for female students due to opening of new disciplines and under-graduate programme in the University.
The Vice-Chancellor informed that construction of one Girls Hostel has been promised by the OGDCL while one Girls Hostel has been included in the Expansion Programme of QAU. Construction of these Hostels will ease out the accommodation issue of Female students. The Vice Chancellor appreciated the quality construction of the Building and timely completion of the Project.
