Department of History, QAU and Institute of Policy Studies Inks MOU

The Department of History, Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Institute of Policy studies (IPS) to open up new avenues of collaboration in the field of research. Both the organizations agreed to enter in a partnership of 3 years for organizing joint research activities.
The MOU will allow both institutions to undertake joint research projects, including research studies as well as seminars, conferences, roundtable and workshops. According to the MOU the two sides will work jointly on two specific projects to produce a monograph "Pakistan in the 21 Century: Challenges and Opportunities" and a series of roundtable seminars on "Pakistan at Crossroads: Problems and Solutions". Under the MOU IPS would also welcome senior students nominated by the History department for internships.

While briefing the audiences about MOU, Dr. Razia Sultana, Chairperson Department of History said that greater cooperation and interaction is need of the hour to face the present day challenges for producing quality research on issues related to international, regional and National developments. QAU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Masoom Yasinzai and large number faculty members also attended the signing ceremony.
