QAU, celebrates historic inauguration of its new School of Management Sciences
School of Management Sciences (QASMS) has been inaugurated at Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) here on Monday that would offer Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA) program with specialization in marketing, finance and human resource management.
QAU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Masoom Yasinzai inaugurated the QASMS building and formally welcomed the newly enrolled students of BBA.
The Department of Administrative Sciences of QAU has been recently transformed into Quaid-i-Azam School of Management Sciences (QASMS) and the department has been serving the graduate market for over 35 years.
While addressing the gathering QAU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Masoom Yasinzai said that faculty of Social Sciences of Quaid-i-Azam University is emerging with a new vigor and dynamism.
“QAU has recently introduced three new schools under the umbrella of the faculty of social sciences which includes the School of Economics, School of Management Sciences, and the School of International Relations and Political Science. Two new Schools i.e. School of Law and the School of Media Sciences would be launched soon,” he said.
He said now the university has started BS four years programme and the departments are expanding with a rapid pace not only in the social sciences but also in the fields of natural, biological and social sciences.
He appreciated the efforts of Dean Faculty of Social Sciences Dr. Naveed-i-Rahat, Registrar Dr. Shafique Rehman and Chairman QASMS and Dr. G. S. K. Niazi.
QASMS Chairman Dr. G. S. K. Niazi expressed the vision and commitment towards promoting research in Management Sciences. “With its well-designed programmes, outstanding faculty and state-of-the-art facilities, QASMS can definitely be ranked among one of the best institutes of the Management Sciences”, he said.
Among others QAU Registrar Dr. Shafiqur Rehman, deans, faculty members, leading government functionaries, alumni and students attended the ceremony.
