In a collaborative effort to contribute to environmental sustainability, the Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) and Quaid-i-Azam University have officially signed a Document of Understanding (DoU) to launch a plantation drive featuring a Miyawaki Garden within the university premises.
The Miyawaki method, renowned for its effectiveness in creating dense, native forests in small spaces, will be employed to enhance the greenery on the university campus. This initiative aligns with the shared commitment of OGDCL and Quaid-i-Azam University towards environmental conservation, biodiversity promotion, and creating a healthier ecosystem.
The signing ceremony took place at Quaid-i-Azam symbolizing the commencement of a sustainable partnership between OGDCL, a leading player in the energy sector, and Quaid- i-Azam University, a prestigious academic institution. The collaboration aims not only to beautify the campus but also to raise awareness about the importance of afforestation and sustainable environmental practices.
