STEM Teachers Capacity Building Training Workshop
Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad, in collaboration with the British Council Pakistan, has organized the second five days “STEM Teachers Capacity Building Training Workshop”, under the Going Global Partnership: Undergraduate STEM Education in Pakistan”. Dr. Hazir Ullah principal investigator (PI) of the project welcome the guests and delegates. Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed-Chairman Higher Education Commission grace the occasion as a Chief Guest. During the opening remarks Chairman HEC emphasized the participants to be bring innovation and novelty in their teaching skills and train their students using new technologies and customized practices. Vice Chancellor QAU-Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali was the guest of honor on the occasion extended greeting and thanks to the delegates and the British Council representatives Dr. Nishat Riaz and Ms. Sara Pervez for having trust in QAU expertise and support for the event. Many well-known Professors from UK and Pakistan are delivering this very important teacher training workshop. Darr-University College London, UK, Dr. Adeela Ahmed Shafi-University of Gloucestershire, UK, Ms. Madiha Sajid-Imperial College London, UK, Ms, Noshaba Anbreen-University of Birmingham, UK, , Prof. Dr. Zia-Ur- Rehman Department of Chemistry-Quaid-i-Azam University, Pakistan, Prof. Dr. Muazzam Ali Khan Khattak- Department of Computer Science-Quaid-i-Azam University, Pakistan, Prof. Dr. Javed Iqbal Saggu, Department of Physics-Quaid-i-Azam University, Pakistan, Prof. Dr. Rabaab Zahra- Department of Microbiology-Quaid-i-Azam University, Pakistan.
Forty-four (44) STEM college faculty members (Assistant Professor and Lecturers) from ICT colleges are going to be trained in the current workshop. ICT colleges are affiliated with Quaid-I-Azam University.
