In order to highlight the need of technologies in the country which can harness quantum effects and have huge potential and future, Department of Electronics, Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) is holding an international conference on "Nano Science and Technology" from October 1-5, 2012.

The conference is first of its kind that under one umbrella, diverse and different applications of Nano-technology will be brought to light. The conference will cover the areas of Surface Probe Nano Scopy, Nano Electronics, Nano Photonics, Nano Devices, Nano-Electro Opto Mechanical Systems (NEOMS), Nano Biotechnology, Nano Materials, Bose-Einstein Condensation and Quantum Metrology.
