A National flag hoisting ceremony was held at Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) here on Wednesday. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ishtiaq Ali, Director Academics / ORIC, Quaid-i-Azam University alongside Director Student Affairs and Chairpersons of the various Departments hoisted the flag while, a large number of students, staff and senior faculty members attended the ceremony.

Addressing the audience Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ishtiaq Ali, Director Academics / ORIC emphasized the importance of independence, not just as a historical milestone but as a continuous journey towards the realization of the nation’s full potential. He urged the youth to follow the principles of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

While addressing the students, Dr. Amanat Ali, Director Student Affairs said that Independence Day is a reminder of the sacrifices made by our forefathers and a call to action for all of us to contribute to the progress and prosperity of our nation. The ceremony also included speeches by students who shared their reflections on the significance of the day and the responsibilities that come with freedom. The ceremony followed by the plantation drive at different parts of campus.
