Admissions Notice for Lateral Entry in 5th Semester of BS Programme on Self Finance Basis (Fall Semester–2024)
Applications are invited from Pakistani and Foreign Nationals for admission to Lateral Entry in 5th Semester of BS Programme (Fall Semester-2024) in the following subjects by 31-07-2024. A person holding Intermediate or its equivalent passed with minimum 50% marks & Bachelor (minimum of 14-years of education) or its equivalent passed with minimum 50% marks may apply for admission. The applicants if they don’t possess the cutoff degree can also apply; the QAU will accept their credits as per rules.

How To Apply
- The applicants can apply through Online Application System at QAU website (qau.edu.pk). The candidates will print the application processing fee invoice/challan from QAU website/Admission portal and will deposit fee/dues in favour of the Treasurer, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad.
- Paid Bank Challan/deposit slip/Proof of online payment for Admission Processing Charges must be uploaded with the Online Application along with other scanned requisite documents; otherwise the application will not be entertained.

General Information
A person holding Intermediate or its equivalent passed with minimum 50% marks & Bachelor (minimum of 14-years of education) or its equivalent and also passed Intermediate or its equivalent with minimum 50% marks from a Pakistani Boards/Universities shall be eligible for provisional admission to the Lateral Entry in 5th Semester of BS Programme of study subject to the conditions that: –
- After selection the student will deposit the fee/dues online in the University Account within the stipulated period/time.
- The result awaiting candidates will have to submit an Undertaking that in case of incorrect/misleading information or concealment of facts, the University reserves the right to refuse/cancel the admission and expel the applicant (student) from the University at any time.
- If the selected candidates failed to submit the required documents his/her admission will be treated as cancelled.
- The Hifz-e-Quran Certificate holder from Wafaq-ul-Madaris OR Tanzeem-ul-Madaris (Registered Pakistan) will be given 20-Additional Marks in the merit. However, the University will conduct Oral Hifz-e-Quran Test through the Mufti of Jamia Masjid, QAU. The Candidates are advised to produce Original Hifz-e-Quran Certificate at the time of Oral Hifz-e-Quran Test.
- After selection and online depositing fee/dues in the University Account, the student will be required to submit his/her complete educational documents result card/DMC within 45 days after the declaration of HSSC result by the concerned Board in the Department/ Institute/ School/Centre (DISC). If the selected student failed to submit the required certificate his/her admission will be treated as cancelled. Chairperson of (DISC) will ensure that either student has submitted his/her complete result within due course of time otherwise Chairperson will initiate the case for the cancellation of admission.
- There is no age limit for admission in lateral entry into 5th semester of BS programsprogram at QAU.
- The result awaiting students will have to submit an undertaking as per prescribed format with his/her admission form by filling all the columns.
Ineligibility
The following shall not be eligible for admission to BS/ BA-LLB/Pharm-D Programs of study: –
- Those who have failed under the examination rules of this University. (Please see QAU Calendar at QAU website www.qau.edu.pk)
- Those who have ceased to be a student of this University under the examinations rules. (Please see QAU Calendar at QAU website www.qau.edu.pk)
- Those who already possess BS or its equivalent degree from this or any other University.
- Those who are already on the rolls of this University.
- Those who have been expelled from the University on disciplinary grounds.
- No student of BS or equivalent degree holder shall be admitted to a second or subsequent BS 5th lateral entry programs (either on Regular OR Self-Finance basis) in the University Teaching Departments/ Centers/ Institutes/ Schools under any circumstances.
- In case of incorrect/misleading information or concealment of facts, the University reserves the right to refuse/cancel the admission and expel the applicant (student) from the University at any time.
- The Vice-Chancellor may cancel/refuse admission to any student without assigning any reasons.
Equivalence certificates and conversion of Grades into Marks
Applicants having foreign certificates are required to provide equivalence certificate(s) and conversion of the grades, into marks from Inter Board Committee of Chairman (IBCC) for Matriculation and Intermediate levels.
Subject Options
- The applicants are advised to fill/opt the subjects carefully because once filled, the Subject Options shall not be changed in any case.
- The applicants can apply for more than one & maximum of three subject/discipline. However, if a candidate is selected in the merit list and deposited the fee/dues in the University Account, his/her choice for other subjects/disciplines will be blocked and he/she will not be considered under any circumstances.
Scholarships/Financial Assistance
Students admitted on self finance basis will not be eligible for any financial assistance/ scholarship.
Hostel Accommodation
The University Hostel accommodations will be provided subject to availability of seats.

Important Instructions
- If number of applicants for a department/discipline is less than 25 then the department will not be allowed to commence the classes and the Admission Processing Fee @ Rs.2200/- or 2215/- will be refunded to the applicants admitted thereon accordingly.
- To avoid any inconvenience the candidates are required to upload all the required documents with Online Admission within stipulated time period. However, the last date to upload left-over documents such as BA/BSc/BCom/ADP result care Or Equivalence Certificate of IBCC/HEC, Domicile etc. along with online submission of required fee amounting to Rs.1000/- is 13-08-2023;
- Data of the applicants shall be available on the University website. Please contact on Ph No.051-90642301, 051-90642302 and 051-90642008 to rectify the errors/mistakes in the data, if any by 12-08-2024 at the latest.
- No application will be received in Admission Section by hand or by Post/Courier. After expiry of last date no online application facility will be available in any case.
- In case of cancellation of admission, the fee/dues will be refunded to the candidates as per QAU refund policy.
- No call letter/phone call shall be made separately for selection; applicants are advised to visit QAU website frequently.
