Admissions Rules for Sports Quota (Morning)

The Academic Council at its 114th meeting held on 22-09-2014 resolved to approve the following criteria for admission on Sports base.

The marks of sports trail

  1. Sports certificates – 50 Marks
  2. Sports Trail (concerned games) – 50 Marks
  3. Total – 100 Marks

Sports Trails (Concerned Games)

Basic Techniques (for example in volleyball service, Reception, setting smash, blocking & game fitness)  – 50

Eligibility Criteria
  1. Admission Committee is responsible to check the departmental eligibility criteria.
  2. The experts will conduct the trails of concerned game and University Sports Committee will finalize the Sports Basis Admission.
  3. The sports trails will be conducted for all games as per HEC sports calendar and priority of the game will be decided by the Sports Committee.
  4. Candidate will provide original Merit Sports Certificate/Medals at the time of trails. Photo copy will not be accepted. Only those candidates will be considered for Sports Basis Admission who gets minimum 45% marks as per sports criteria.
  5. The aggregate of 45% marks should through both categories of Sports Certificates and Sports Trail.
  6. The sports certificate will be verified by the university from concerned issuing authority.

Later on the Syndicate at its 163rd meeting held on 27-09-2014 resolved to approve the recommendations of the Academic Council regarding reserved seats for sports based admission in the University with minor amendment for in Bachelor’s Programme.
