Directorate of Students’ Affairs

Welcome to the Directorate of Students’ Affairs at the University. The office has been established to provide quality learning environment to the students at the campus. To enhance the experience of university life, the office plans, coordinates, and manages different activities throughout the academic year. Different societies like music, debating, dramatics, media, arts, science and literary society are working under the umbrella of Student Affairs’ Directorate. This office coordinates diverse curricular and co-curricular activities with societies.  Every society is managed by a vibrant student body under the mentorship of faculty members. Students are encouraged to participate in societies through membership drives. Membership form of the society can also be obtained from society office throughout the year.

This directorate in liaison with the varsity’s scholarship office, arranges merit/need based scholarships for students both from government and private organizations and individuals.  Awareness of available resources and creating new financial resources for needy students is also a part of the policy. The Directorate also works in coordination with Directorate of Sports, Career Counseling Center, Business Incubation Center, Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization and all departmental student bodies for the facilitation of students. This office also voices the concerns of the students to the administration.

The Directorate is currently headed by the Director Dr. Amanat Ali. The team also includes two Deputy Directors Dr. Shazia Asim and Dr. Waqas Saleem to maximize student facilitation.

Message from the Director Students’ Affairs

I extend a very warm welcome to all students of Quaid-i-Azam University. Quaid-i-Azam University has always strived to provide state-of-the-art knowledge along with an enabling environment for the grooming of students to become useful members of the society. I believe that in addition to pure academics, our students must also engage in extra-curricular activities to live to their full potential. The Directorate of Students Affairs was established with an aim to provide a favorable niche to the students where they can polish their skills and showcase their amazing talents in an effective manner. I am glad that Quaidians are contributing very efficiently in almost every field. From organizing international scientific events to striving for cleaner and greener environment at micro level, Quaidians have demonstrated an admirable willingness to engage in healthy and productive activities.

It is pertinent to mention that keeping in view the national gender development index, Quaid-i-Azam University is paying special attention to gender empowerment. The Directorate has rolled out special trainings and workshops in collaboration with national and international partners to empower female students through education and entrepreneurship. We have taken responsibility to provide them confidence, motivation and training and to enable them to realize and prove their potential and worth.

I convey my best wishes to all Quaidians and hope that they will continue their valiant efforts for betterment of the society in general and Quaid-i-Azam University in particular.
