Workshop on Pottery Organized by TIAC

Pottery plays a vital role in the cultural life of any society and represents the expression of a potter’s aesthetical sense. This type of material data is abundantly yielded by the archaeological sites in Pakistan. Through the critical analysis of this data, a researcher can easily establish the historical significance of a site. The analysis of pottery includes the standard procedures of cataloguing, photographical recording and pottery drawing. Therefore, this workshop arranged on 29^th to 31^st October 2018 at Taxila Institute of Asian Civilizations, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, will assist the participating students to develop their basic understanding regarding pottery analysis.
